Amma Tea Farm” produces tea in Fukuroi, a city in the prefecture of Shizuoka. Our company and the tile manufacturer “Kawaraiki Co., Ltd.” are established in the same city, and together we have taken 2 years to develop a new teapot, “Suigetsu”, made from tile soil that has been aged for 10 years and that uses a special firing method. We planned on selling the “Suigetsu” teapot in Japan and overseas last year, however with the emergence of the Coronavirus, our project was brought to a halt and only a small number of prototypes were produced.
